This week we play games the other hosts have played on the show before in ENVY WEEK! Matt worships at the altar of the pizza gremlin in Yo! Noid! Nikki takes us deep into the mindscape of an old Japanese man in LSD: Dream Simulator! And Cody betrays us to the spheres – I fed up with this world – in Q.U.B.E.!
This week we played video games with card mechanics! Nikki gives a math lesson which basically makes my terrible sad brain melt in Triple Triad! Matt’s box is on fire – which is double entendre if I’ve ever heard one – in Metal Gear Acid 2! And Cody helps the space vagina conquer the Earth like I always suspected he would in Loot Rascals!
This time we finally get around to playing games everyone else just seems to love. Cody spreads his meat juices everywhere which is how he got banned from the movie theater so he really should know better in Super Meat Boy! And just like his mom did the day he was born, Matt pushes a fetus through a cave into a terrible basement full of spiders in The Binding of Isaac!
This week we play historical video games! Yes! Matt travels to the Roman invasion of Britannia to throw a human head at a guy and scream a lot in Wulverblade! Cody is stuck in the Civil War, showing the superiority of house over cannon, in North and South! And Nikki is stuck in ancient Japan where afros were super big, I guess? In Way of the Samurai!
This week we play Browser Games! Amby gets tortured by Satan in hell but for some reason Satan is a chef with no legs in Papa Louie! Cody flops around on the floor and it’s not even the Yearly Little Rock Flopathon in Jelly Mario! And Matt realizes that what Mario needs is a hovertank, a conclusion we should’ve come to long ago, in Super Mario Crossover!
This week on Cartridge Blowers we are all about anime! Matt breaks ya neck, come on, in Spider-Man I mean Attack on Titan 2! Sometimes SD stands for Super Deformed and sometimes it stands for Special Delivery! Well, here’s a delivery for you: Cody plays Super Deformed Gundam Force! And Nikki delivers you a long and deep treatise on Naruto lore which is actually a soft pilot for a emotional and very serious Sasuke fanfiction podcast, in Naruto Shippuden: Naruto vs Sasuke!
This week we play games that we love. Nikki’s lost her dream orbs and now she’s gotta be a clownboy in Nights in to Dreams! It’s a Mega Man world and Scrooge McDuck is just livin’ in it when Matt plays Shovel Knight! And Cody throws himself through a blue hole and it’s sadly not into the back of a whale like in my horrible dream… or in Portal 2!
This week we throw the reviews and upcomming games out the window and focus entirely of playing against each other (including special guest host Amby) in several multiplayer games. First we keep movin ‘lest we die in the aptly named Move or Die! Next we try to stop each other from making it to the flag with cleverly placed stairs and black holes in Ultimate Chicken Horse. Then it’s tanks, tanks, and more tanks in Shellshock Live! Finally we throw down in a seemingly never-ending smash bros. style battle royale in Stick Fight: The Game!
This week we take on Advergames! Matt drops the beats to drop some beasts in Skrillex Quest and then he weather a storm of bullets in Duty Calls! Cody gets to the headquarters of the red M&M in M&M Adventure, and then he ENTERS THE DORITO LOTUS in Dorito VR Battle!
