Hey, Mortal Kombat, when can I decapitate my grandpa? Cody plays Coffin Dodgers! And Nikki is an anthropomorphic car just like in my Cartridge Blowers fanfiction and in Stunt Race FX!
This week it’s Nick Arcade Challenge Week! That’s right, once again we issue each other game related challenges to see how good we really are.
This week we play games by Ocean Software. Nikki gets killed by sharks, spears, falling, and more in Lethal Weapon. Matt fights Ninja to the death, and now he’ll get to stream Fortnite with Drake, in Fighter’s Destiny. Finally, Cody let’s us see Walter Matthau again in Dennis the Menace.
This week on Cartridge Blowers we take a look at games that were only released in Japan – until they weren’t! Matt plays as an evil version of a hero of justice which has never happened in any media before in Rockman and Forte! It’s dishonorable to jump into a luchador’s mouth unless you do a triple moonsault off the top rope, but Cody does it anyway in Doki Doki Panic! And Nikki introduces us to Pete and Danny, forever my OTP, in The Firemen.
This week we’re playing MOVIE BASED GAMES! Nikki watches as Ming-Na debases herself more than in Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within in Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game! Matt builds a dinosaur but gosh, when will he ever get to color a dinosaur? He plays Jurassic Park Evolution! And Cody does flips and shit but I mean Marty McFly almost fucks his mom, can we talk about that? He played Super Back to the Future II!
This week we play SUPERHERO GAMES! Nikki reintroduces us to Lizzie and Dana and their incredible, riveting 12 issue arc in Maximum Carnage! Cody gives Wolverine a deep tissue massage, everyone’s fondest wish, in Super Hero Squad! And Matt gets a YIN YANG BONUS, which is probably… good? In Batman Forever: The Arcade Game!
This week we judge games by their covers! Cody is Wink Ballfield, a man out of time and a man out of banjos, in Phalanx! Nikki punches down a brick wall but that’s actually just a normal Friday Night for her, then she plays Brawl Brothers! And Matt has rippling muscles made only for octopi in The ULTIMATE Stuntman!
Forsooth, the Cartridge Blowers are playing MEDIEVAL games! Squire Matthew’s soul shall beat the most vicious of babies in Hollow Knight! Sir Cody’s game is a slow crawl towards boredom in King Arthur’s World! And Lady Nicole must take on the greatest challenge of all: early 90s PC games in Get Medieval! All this and the best games of the year 2017.
This week, saddle up, pards! It’s Wild West Week! Matt becomes the Super Ultra Sexy Hero in Rising Zan: The Samurai Gunman! Nikki gets buried with her money in Sunset Riders! And Cody gets blindsided by a surprising twist: a fun game! With Wild Guns! All this and Xenoblade Buttrock! It’s rock!
YNIN has a Caveman Week! Nikki chucks rocks as Chuck Rock in Chuck Rock! Matt hits a person with a big hunk of meat and then plays a video game where, oddly enough, the same thing happens! In Caveman Warriors! And Cody gets dem bones, straight from the chipmunk bodies, in Prehistorik Man!
